Happy New Year Everyone, hope everyone has a happy and safe 2017. 2017 is already looking to be a very good year for us diecast collectors. I am seeing some awesome new pieces coming out from Greenlight this year and also Johnny Lightning bringing back the trucks and boats that they did in past with series called "Gone Fishing".
What are some new castings would love to see in 2017?.. Could be from a specific diecast maker or just from anyone..
As most know, I mainly collect Greenlight diecast at this point. So there is some stuff love see from them in 2017. The main thing be a Ford F-350, especially a dually. They are now doing HD pickups with the Ram 2500, so imagine it not be long before see HD ford pickup. I would also love to see them do a Ford Raptor. I'd also love see some new wreckers and flatbeds. A dump truck be sweet to and looks like we will be getting one this year according to a post on ZA3 collectibles that shows a new series similar to the HD trucks series that coming out later this year and one of the new castings is a International Dump truck. I'd also love them expand on hitch and tow series now that getting HD pickups. I think some fifth wheel and gooseneck trailers be awesome!.
I'd also love to see Racing Champions bring back the Ford F-350 Duallys they did in past. I would also love see Johnny Lightning bring back the Ford wreckers they did in past.
I hope M2 makes more of the lifted/off road F-100 saw a couple times this year and that I can actually find them in the store lol.. I'd also love see M2 do some newer trucks.. If they did, definitely buy more M2 then have been.

Toys R Us lenders file a plan to revive the brand
A chance TRU could live again?.. I certainly hope so!.. My diecast collecting has sadly pretty much come to a halt since the closing of TRU.. If they did come back, and locally again, it would give me a chance to find and buy what I collect locally!. I have no clue if that will ever happen, but it's great to see there is a chance we may see TRU again!. Though, who knows. They may even just sell online and not have stores, which would not do anything for me and many others. I will update if anymore news comes out on this.

Toys R Us Could File For Bankruptcy
This is sad news for many of us in the Diecast hobby. Toys R Us is pretty much only store that many of us have locally to buy/find Greenlight and other diecast. I know for me, Toys R Us is really only place locally that carries a good selection of Greenlight, which is what I mainly collect. I am already forced to buy a lot of things online because can't find it locally. If TRU goes out of business, I would be forced to buy pretty much everything online. That takes the a lot of the excitement out of it for me and many others. If you collect diecast, you know the excitement of going into stores and finding what want/looking for and
